Durham EV Showcase

The Durham Energy Committee is happy to announce an EV Showcase event to be hosted from 12 - 4 PM on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at the Tideline Public House Restaurant and Food Truck site at 15 Newmarket Road in Durham, across from Town Hall. We’re looking forward to an event that will be a fun, informative time for everyone.

This event will include:

• A showcase of many different EVs by local owners, including some of the latest models.
• Local new and used Auto Dealers will have some EVs for display.
• Learn from local EV owners about the EV experience, and get honest answers to your questions, learn advantages and disadvantages.
• Also expecting an E-Bike display from a local dealer.
• Plenty of food and craft beer at the Tideline Public House to keep energy levels high!

This year's site at 15 Newmarket Road offers food and refreshments at the adjacent Tideline Public House and Food Trucks that adjoin the parking lot where the EV showcase will be held. Additional parking will be available across the street at the Durham Town Hall.

• Grab a bite for lunch and wander around the cars to see what is the latest in the EV marketplace.
• Talk to local EV owners about their real world ownership experience
• View the latest EV models and talk to representatives from car dealers.
• Check out the E-Bikes on display for your local transportation options.

The EV Showcase is presented as an educational rather than a sales oriented event.

If you are an EV owner or dealer and are interested in potentially displaying your car, please click on the "Participate" button and provide your info so we can contact you.  We want to provide the greatest variety of currently available models with our limited number of spaces, so not all volunteers may get a spot assigned.  But please include what hours you are able to attend, as we can then share a space with one car from 12 - 2 and another from 2 - 4 PM.
