About the event
The Monadnock Food Co-op and Monadnock Sustainability Hub Host Electric Vehicle Expo in Celebration of Earth Day
Keene, NH — On April 23rd, 2022 the Co-op and the Monadnock Sustainability Hub (MSH) will host a Drive Electric EV Expo and preview of the planned EV chargers in celebration of Earth Day. Local electric vehicle (EV) owners will share the many benefits of driving an electric car. from buying, to owning, to driving. Visitors can have conversations and get an inside look at EVs, explore different makes and models of EVs and discover why their next car should be electric!
What about charging? MSH has worked with the Co-op to bring an EV Charging station including the first public DC Fast Charger to our region. Learn more about this long anticipated addition to the Co-op. A DC fast charger enables much faster charging then the Level 2 standard EV chargers found elsewhere in our region. The Co-op plans call for two Fast chargers and a Level 2 charger.
“The transportation sector is the largest contributor of our greenhouse gas emissions that cause climate change. The adoption of electric vehicles among community members is an essential part of our region’s clean energy transition,” says MSH Drive E team leader, John Kondos. “Our goal is to show people that, in addition to being cleaner alternatives to traditional gas-fueled cars, EVs are fun to drive, easy to own, and overall better technology!”
The Drive Electric expo is part of a larger initiative to educate the Monadnock community on EVs and promote clean transportation. Visit www.GreenMonadnock.org anytime for more information on Driving Electric Vehicles.
